Charleston
So I spent a few days in Charleston, South Carolina the quintessential southern town that has turned into one of my favorite places on earth! The shopping, the restaurants, the history it's all so amazing and the people are incredible they want nothing more than to celebrate their city. So on my visit I scoped out the sweetest children's boutique on King St; Jackson Madeleine http://jacksonmadeleine.com. I needed to blog about my visit to the shop because if anyone knows me I don't believe they would ever consider me a "sales girl" but this has got to be my new forte so I am working on it. Friday morning I get up and have decided I need to present my product to this shop. So I gather some business cards from my suitcase and with the encouragement of my finance Matt, who supplies me a backpack and tells me to take the product with me I am ready to venture to the shop. Oh, and did I mention I need a backpack because I was riding a bike to the store (staying on a boat and no car)! The ride is only about 5 miles and I need all the exercise I can get because the food in Charleston is incredible! So I get to the shop slightly sweaty from a combination of the bike ride in the 95 degree heat and my nerves. I make my way in. I am eagerly greeted and take a few minutes to scope out the store. I then make contact with a lady I assume is the owner or manager. Of course they are rather busy but I was able to give her my card and set up future correspondence. As I left the shop I was able to breath finally! I hopped on my bike I was excited, not only because she was interested in our product but because I did it. Like I said I am not the salesperson but I put all my fears aside (because I do believe we have a great product ) strapped on that backpack, pedaled away, and did it!
